Buckwheat Recipe
Ingredients
1 cup buckwheat
2 cups water
1 tablespoon olive oil or butter
1 small onion, chopped
Salt
Pepper
Optional: parsley or herbs
Instructions
Rinse the buckwheat thoroughly with cold water.
In a saucepan, put a little olive oil and sauté the onion for 2-3 minutes.
Add the buckwheat and stir for 1 minute.
Pour in the water and a little salt.
Once it boils, reduce the heat and let it cook for 15-20 minutes until the water is absorbed.
Add pepper and a little butter or olive oil for more flavor.
Serve hot alone or with chicken, vegetables or yogurt.
